Rowy is a Nordic composer who writes in a light-hearted, classical style with a touch of polyphony.
Rowy was born in The Netherlands in 1955. Her father was, among other things, a music teacher. After four years of studying piano and organ at the music school, Rowy was accepted as a student in composition at the conservatory of music. There, in a former monastery, she studied six years under the guidance of a Dutch maestro of composition. E-mail: contact@[REMOVE]rowy.net
In 2001 Rowy became the best of friends with Jo-Anne, a software engineer. Together they founded RowyNet in 2003. Their goal was to built an extensive library of free classical sheet music. Because of the enormous success, RowyNet had to be rebuilt in 2006.
